I’m Amy, the founder of Pine & Poppy.

I started Pine & Poppy in 2016 with a simple dream: to turn my love of knitting into a business that would allow me to leave my teaching career and stay home with my first baby.

It all began with matching hats I knit for my daughter and me for a family trip to Oregon. I loved the special feeling of matching with my little one and wanted other moms to experience that same joy.

What started with matching mama-and-baby hats grew into a knitwear brand whose handmade designs were eventually carried by Anthropologie and Nordstrom.

Over the years, my love of creating led me to discover beautiful specialty yarns, rich textures, and extraordinary colors. I began dreaming up heirloom Christmas stockings that felt just as special as the memories they would hold.

Today, Pine & Poppy is home to colorful, chunky Christmas stockings and cozy winter hats, all hand-knit in small batches. Some are timeless Signature and Heritage designs, while others are playful, one-of-a-kind creations.

My hope is simple: that these pieces become part of your family’s traditions, hanging on your mantel, worn on winter adventures, photographed year after year, and eventually passed down to the next generation.

Because the best heirlooms aren’t the oldest ones.

They’re the ones filled with the most memories.
