FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Are your stockings and hats really hand knit?
Yes. Every stocking and every hat is hand knit by me using carefully chosen luxury yarns.
No knitting machines. No mass production.
Every stitch is created by hand, making each piece something truly special.
Are your stockings and hats ready to ship?
Yes!
Every stocking and hat on the website is already finished and ready to ship.
That means no waiting weeks for your heirloom to arrive.
New pieces are released throughout the season in small batches, so once a collection sells through, inventory may not return until a future release.
Will you remake a sold-out stocking or hat?
It depends.
Many pieces are one-of-a-kind creations made from unique yarns that won't be repeated.
Others are part of the Pine & Poppy Signature Collection and may return season after season.
Every collection is intentionally produced in small batches, making each release feel thoughtful and special.
What is the Signature Collection?
The Signature Collection features timeless Pine & Poppy favorites designed to return year after year.
These classic colors and designs become the foundation of the collection, allowing families to add matching stockings and hats over time.
Alongside the Signature Collection, you'll also find limited small-batch creations made from extraordinary yarns and unexpected color combinations.
Can I build a matching family collection?
Absolutely.
Whether you're starting with one stocking, one hat, or creating a matching family collection over time, every piece is designed to work beautifully together.
Many families add a new stocking or hat as their family grows, creating traditions that continue year after year.
What yarn do you use?
I work with luxurious wool and natural fibers from incredible yarn makers around the world.
Many of the yarns are hand dyed or produced in small batches, giving every piece its own beautiful texture and personality.
Finding inspiring yarns is one of my favorite parts of the creative process.
Why are some stockings and hats priced differently?
Every Pine & Poppy piece follows one of my signature patterns.
The price reflects the materials and time involved in creating each piece.
Some designs feature especially luxurious yarns or multiple specialty textures, while others are made with simpler combinations.
No matter the price, every piece is hand knit with the same attention to detail.
How quickly will my order ship?
Ready-to-ship orders typically ship within a few business days.
You'll receive tracking information as soon as your package is on its way.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Every Pine & Poppy order is thoughtfully packaged, making it beautiful to receive whether you're gifting it or keeping it for your own family.
Where are your pieces made?
Every Pine & Poppy piece is hand knit in Alaska.
Supporting Pine & Poppy means supporting a small American business built around craftsmanship, creativity, and meaningful traditions.
How do I hear about new collections?
The best way is to join the Heirloom List.
Subscribers receive early access to new collections, behind-the-scenes updates, and launch announcements before many pieces become available to the public.
Because collections are released in small batches, email subscribers often have the first opportunity to shop.
Why Pine & Poppy?
Pine & Poppy began with a simple belief:
The most meaningful heirlooms aren't always the oldest ones.
Sometimes they're the ones we choose to create for the people we love.
Every stocking and every hat is made with the hope that it becomes part of your family's traditions—hung on the mantel, worn on winter adventures, photographed year after year, and eventually passed down to the next generation.
